by Jerry Skotak

Sampled on Monday, February 21, 2022, at 2:50 PM

Air temperature: 82℉ under cloudy skies.

Sample depth: 12 inches

Algae: rare

Watercolor: light green

Water clarity: clear

Water surface: clear

Water conditions: ripples

Water odor: none

Water temperature: 55℉

Conductivity: 727 µS/cm (good)

Dissolved Oxygen: 8.0 mg/L (very good)

pH: 8.40 (normal)

Water transparency: 2 ft 8 inches

Lake observations: The lake level is slightly below average. There were partly cloudy conditions with the wind out of the SSW at 10 – 15 mph. There were ducks and turtles in the area. I am using some test strips to look at nitrate, nitrite, and phosphate levels in the lake water. This isn’t terribly accurate, but I hope this will indicate what is coming into the lake from runoff. Time will tell.

Nitrate: 0.5 ppm

Nitrite: 0.15 ppm

Phosphate: between 0 and 5 ppm
