Lake observations: The water is warming. The samples were taken under thin, high clouds. The winds were off the S at four mph. Algae is absent. The lake water level is slightly above average. We are not currently under drought conditions.
Two days ago (March 21, 2024), we received about .44 inches of rain.
Since there was a water main break on Pearl a couple of days ago, I performed a few tests in the middle of the deep area of the lake, approximately behind John Mikalik’s house. This is where much of the water would run off into our lake.
We did notice one dead fish in the deep part of the lake. Seeing several dead fish over the next few days would indicate some problems.
