Note from the ILA President:

We hope that everyone is safe following the recent series of windstorms. These storms were certainly challenging events, and the Board extends our positive thoughts and prayers to you, your families, and friends during this time.

As the inaugural 2025 Board of Directors settles into our roles, we have proactively taken steps to review and reassess all aspects of the Lake Vilbig dredging project, including its historical context. This initiative follows the questions and concerns raised during our first Board meeting.

We are pleased to inform you that a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation, outlining the current status of the dredging project, has been uploaded to our website. We encourage you to visit the Lakevilbig.com website, go to Residents, then Members Only, then the "Lake Vilbig Dredging Status and History" tab to access the presentation and stay informed on the ongoing progress.

To ensure effective management and oversight, a dedicated "Dredging Committee" has been formed to lead this important project, with continued oversight from the Board of Directors. The members of the Dredging Committee are as follows:

  • Pierce Johnston – Chair

  • Rick Huffman – Member

  • Steve Dillon – Member

They will be providing updates regarding the project in which the Board will review and disseminate periodically VIA the official website.

We sincerely appreciate your continued engagement and support as we work together to enhance and improve our beautiful community. Thank you for your partnership in this important effort.

Best Regards,

Scott Rose

ILA President
